A gadget is not necessarily electronic. It can also be paper, metal, wood. The important thing is that the construction elements used to give utility greater than their basic use. The paper and the glue used in Landmine Stickers, for example, designed to raise awareness among passers-by.

The designer who did it respond to a request from UNICEF for a gadget capable of making people aware of the problem of landmines. Said than done. The sticker is a kind of wheel-shaped mine consists of two fronts: first, the design of a mine and the other the color of the floor on which should be supported.

The passer-by, not noticing the adhesive camouflaged, it tramples on the shoe. When he goes to check what has been trampled on, he realizes the wheel and realizes that if this had been a mine would have been seriously injured. A simple and effective message.

Fuse, a conceptual electric scooter might do well in the future of transportation. It is the work of designer Lance Cassidy. It is actually designed for urban residents. Fuse is a two-wheeled car, apparently lighter and more compact than today’s scooters. Moreover, it is foldable and occupies very little space when parked. From technological point of view, there is no exception, with its touch panel, GPS or its wireless connection to a smartphone and speedometer. The scooter has a battery that will charge an original way. Indeed, the charge is magnetic induction when the vehicle is parked on a lawn of public support. However, this is paid, each scooter has an RFID tag of its own and the cost of the service is registered on behalf of the owner.

This battery powers a motor 100% electric, which means we are dealing with a scooter that does not pollute the environment. Design, practical, ecological and high-tech, these are the words that describe the Fuse concept.

Solowheel, a wheel to get around town

Solowheel, a wheel to get around town

Solowheel is a new means of hyper simplistic transport. It is externally like a wheel with two platforms on which they set foot. The user leans slightly forward to accelerate and backwards to slow down. The concept of equilibrium is not a concern because Solowheel incorporates a self-balancing based on gyroscopic sensors.

This 9 kg unicycle is powered by a lithium-ion 1000 W battery. Its range is two hours and refueled the load in 45 minutes.

Solowheel, a wheel to get around town

Solowheel seems more convenient than the electric bikes and segways due to a share of its size enabling it to go anywhere and its driving motor on the other. The unicycle will probably land in March and will be sold at around € 1,150.

E-Citroen 3pod Antistatic, an electric vehicle with 3 wheels

tricycle electrical Royal College of Art

The manufacturer Citroen has recently organized a competition in the Royal College of Art, England. The competition named “Double Challenge” was to create revolutionary vehicle concepts very worn on the concepts of ecology and design for the future.

Heikki Juvonen has emerged victorious thanks to its concept E-3pod Antistactic. This is a look at the vehicle from elsewhere, with three wheels and carrying a 100% electric motor. In other words, the vehicle corresponds perfectly to the expectations of the French firm. Two wheels are placed at the front and rear, we are entitled to a third wheel, larger and extending into the cockpit. This unconventional three-wheeler has only one place. E-3pod Antistatic is sort of halfway between a motorcycle and a car. The vehicle is more agile and can look to better negotiate the turns.

Only downside apparent, this should not be easy to drive with a portion of the rear wheel that obstructs the driver’s vision. After winning the competition on British soil, Heikki Juvonen won a six month PSA Design Centre in Paris.
