Besides the presentation of the E series, Sony also officially unveiled another notebook, the Sony Vaio S Series (model VAIOSVS1511W9E).
This notebook also based on the platform Intel Ivy Bridge, delivers high power and portability. Built with rugged body and weight-saving materials, the Vaio S series is made of aluminum, magnesium and carbon fiber, depending on model.
The Sony Vaio S Series features a Core i7-3612QM quad core clocked at 2.1 GHz and up to 3.1GHz in modoTurbo Boost.
There are 8 GB of RAM and 1TB hard drive, an optical drive (DVD or Blu-ray), Wi-Fi802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and three USB 3.0 ports.
The device integrates a 1.3 megapixel webcam, stereo speakers and HDMI output. Luce an IPS LCD screen of 15.5 inches with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and GeForce GT 640M LE.
Sony also offers an optional docking station with built-in 500GB hard drive and an extra battery that extends the battery life up to 14 hours.
