After the appearance of some details, the smartphone BlackBerry Curve 9220 has been officially announced by RIM. Aimed at young people, seeking affordable messaging and social functions, this phone is available in India at a price equivalent to about 159 euros.

The BlackBerry Curve 9220 smartphone is a sleek, compact design, a social concern focused on the characteristics of customers in India. Like other typical BlackBerry, the Curve 9220 offers a full QWERTY keyboard and a physical 2.44-inch screen with QVGA resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.

In terms of memory, this phone has QWERTY 512 MB RAM, 512 MB of internal storage, expandable with microSD cards up to 32 GB capacity.

It features a 2 megapixel camera, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, FM tuner, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Its 1450 mAh battery is allowing up to 7 hours talk time. It works in BlackBerry OS 7.1 and is designed for use in GSM/EDGE networks.
