Fujitsu has introduced a new range of portable scanner named as ScanSnap. It is designed for freelancers and professionals who want to digitize the documents and achieve full integration in the platforms they use. One of the main attractions of the new Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i is the presence of a universal connector, which can integrate most applications with this scanner. On the other hand, it also highlights the ability to send scanned documents directly to network storage system Dropbox.
One of the strengths of this portable scanner is the speed with which you can scan documents. During the show that made Jesus Cabanas, head of marketing for the Imaging division of the company, this equipment reaches 12 pages per minute on both sides (24 pages per minute), remarkable performance that will work with quickly. Moreover, contrary to what usually happens, this rate has been calculated including the options of image processing.
The scanner software “ScanSnap Folder” is a tool that is installed on the user’s PC and it appears as if most of the system folder. So, when you open any application that has the ability to import a file (such as email or an office automation software like Word) and send scanned documents directly to our application without saving them to the computer. Equipment design allows easy portability and open it in the time we need it (its dimensions are 28, 4 x 9.9 x 7.7 inches). Furthermore, the weight of just 1.4 kilos is very competitive and does not present a problem when traveling with the scanner. Indeed, it has improved its performance with computers by launching an app for this system with which you can send documents directly to the Android smartphone or tablet via the Internet connection.
