Photos of the new super slim PS3 console appear online
With the discovery of the documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission in the United States, photos of the new PS3 console have appeared online, and is named for PS3 4000.
The main change in this new version of the console, and a form factor even thinner than the current model is a superior sliding disc tray instead of an automatic in the front.
Sony’s presentation also states that there will be three different models of the super thin PS3, hard drives of 250 GB, 500 GB and 16 GB, although it would seem that the latter value would be a typing error (as it is thought 160 GB).
Chances are that Sony may announce this slim PS3 4000 at Gamescom in August.
