MSI has revealed a new family of graphics cards, Aero ITX, that is characterized because all its members are formatted ITX Mini Systems, being ideal for equipment with small form factor, HTPCs and Steam Machines.
The new family is named Aero ITX, and consists, as we have already said in a family of graphics cards – in this case exclusively NVIDIA – in small format so they can fit into small form factor systems, with only 18.4 Centimeters long and 14.4 centimeters tall in the larger model, so they should be compatible with virtually any box format.
The Aero ITX family is led by the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Aero ITX OC and its non-factory Overclocked variant, a graphics incorporating a small heatsink with three 8mm thick nickel-plated copper heatpipes that distribute the heat of the GPU to a Dense aluminum foil block and cooled by a 100 mm TorX fan. The graphics card needs a 8-pin PCI-Express power supply and operates at a speed of 1531 Mhz base, 1721 Mhz Boost in the core and memory to the same 8 Ghz GDDR5 effective reference model.
Following this GTX 1070, MSI also launches the two variants of GTX 1060 (of 3 and 6 GB), each of them also with variant with and without Overclock of factory. These graphs are slightly smaller than the 1070, 17.5 cm long and only 11.5 cm high. In this case, the heatsink uses a single 8 mm S-shaped heatpipe that passes through a dense block of aluminum foils and is in turn cooled by a single 80 mm fan. The 6 GB model with OC runs at 1544/1759 Mhz on the core, exactly the same values as the 3 GB.
Finally we have the Aero ITX models of the GTX 1050 Ti and the GTX 1050. In this case have dimensions still lower than the previous, 15.5 centimeters in length and 11.2 centimeters in height. In this case they use a single block aluminum foil that makes direct contact with the GPU (probably with copper heart), ventilated by a fan 80 mm in diameter. The GTX 1050 Ti Aero ITX OC runs at 1341/1455 Mhz, while the GTX 1050 Aero ITX OC does at 1404/1518 MHz.
At the moment MSI has not revealed any release date or price of any of these graphics.
